DSS | COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL SCAFFOLD

DSS (Direct Scaffold Supply) is proud to announce that David Bretherton has joined the team as Chief Operating Officer.

David’s is a wide-ranging role that touches most aspects of the business including engineering, product development, supply chain, purchasing, inventory control, and quality assurance and control.

He works with other senior managers from across the organization to ensure the smooth running of the business.

David is also playing a key part in the company’s expansion plans by assisting the team in identifying new facilities for geographic expansion.

After graduating college as a mechanical engineer David started his career at Chicago Bridge and Iron and has worked mainly in the construction and fabrication industry. He worked his way through the ranks spending time managing construction departments, engineering departments, and shop and fabrication facilities in a range of industries including aboveground storage tanks, coatings and linings, insulation, and of course scaffolding.

His last role before joining DSS was a President of PATTank.

“I have known DSS for quite a while and when I was at Apache I worked with DSS on several new product lines including the AllForm forming and shoring system. DSS CEO Mike Doxey and I have known each other for over 25 years,” David said. “Mike and I have actually worked together in the past a couple of times so when the opportunity arose to join, I was happy to come on board.”

David’s immediate focus is to support the company as it grows and gains market share, but also work on ways to improve processes, streamline existing processes, reduce costs, and develop new products.

“We are always looking for ways to drive down costs for our customers be that through product rationalisation or new manufacturing methods. It’s important that we continue to listen to our customers. That is an area in which DSS is very strong.” David added.
